The year 2023 will mark the centenary celebration of Kahlil Gibran's masterwork, The Prophet. To commemorate the book's cultural significance within Eastern Mediterranean societies, esteemed stage director Lina Abyad and centennial curator Alfred El Khoury have curated an exhibition in the AUB archaeological museum. The exhibit is intended to provide an insightful and illuminating reading itinerary by highlighting text passages and artifacts, while raising questions pertaining to their utility, symbolism, aesthetics, and meaning. Through this initiative, Gibran's work's universality will be demonstrated, and the book's rich genealogy will be traced, offering a deeper understanding of its timeless wisdom.
